FAQs

Planning and booking

Can I book a private trip?

Yes. Private departures and customised itineraries are available for many trekking and cultural journeys. Expedition availability depends on the climbing objective and specialist team requirements.

When should I book?

Book as early as practical for summer trekking and climbing, especially if your preferred dates require specific guides, permits or domestic flights.

What does the price include?

Inclusions vary by route and departure point. Your quotation will specify accommodation, transport, meals, permits, guides, porters, equipment and any exclusions. Do not assume that personal climbing equipment or travel insurance is included.

On the mountain

What if the flight to Skardu is cancelled?

Domestic flights are weather-dependent. Road alternatives may be possible but can take substantially longer. We discuss contingency arrangements when confirming the itinerary.

Can you guarantee a summit or high-pass crossing?

No. Summit attempts and crossings such as Gondogoro La depend on weather, route conditions and the guide’s assessment. Safety takes priority over the planned schedule.

What happens in an emergency?

Our team will coordinate the available local response and communicate with the appropriate authorities where possible. Helicopter evacuation is not guaranteed and depends on weather, aircraft availability and authorisation. Travellers must obtain suitable rescue and medical insurance.

What equipment do I need?

The requirements depend on the route and season. We provide a specific packing list and can discuss local rental availability before departure.
